I was browsing youtube and came across a video or rather a recording of a prank on an indian muslim. You can do a search at youtube on Pork and find it. I’m not going to link it.

The video is about these 2 guys going to an indian halal stall and trying to order everything with PORK and then this indian man gets really annoyed with them.

Very funny meh? I think that’s distasteful and very disrespectful to a person’s religion. Yes, it may be a prank or just a recording but to come up with something like this is terrible. I got more disgusted when i read comments from people who say things like “Haha very funny!” and especially this comment:

Come on! Loosen up man! This is obviously a prank. I guess the ppl who made this jus wanna entertain or make ppl laugh! No wonder ppl from other countries say we Singaporeans r dumb, sheltered, confined in our little controlled world, not being able to think out of the box & the list goes on….Be more open minded man!

This person deserved to be slapped and sent to a place where he/she will experience racism! (and also the people who made the video!) Yes we need to be more open minded, this i agree, but we also need to RESPECT people and their religion!

It’s quite annoying really, when you’re trying to get off the mrt and there will always be some idiots standing in front of you blocking your way!

When i’m in a good mood, i’ll just try to squeeze my way through.. but when i’m in a bad mood, like today, i’d stand still and wait for the people to let me through..if they’re still standing there, i’d just barge my way through.

Now i feel bad for being so rude haha. I think i “accidentally” bumped into a woman really hard. I hope she’s alright. But really, It can be quite annoying … i mean, just follow the yellow lines lor! Very difficult meh? The trains won’t run away! Even if it did, there’s always the next one in about 6 min (max).

Grrrr

Yesterday, we celebrated my grandma’s birthday. She is 101 years old! Yes she is a centurian!

We went to a very cheena restuarant in Chinatown…. the food was good but not as good as before. Different chef i think.. hmmm. The restaurant was very crowded today… i think there were some “D&D” going on and people were singing (some quite terribly) on stage.  Luckily our 6 tables were at the other corner…far away from the restaurant but it was still quite noisy…but we all still had a fun. I think Grandma101 is the happiest person of all.

I’m also very happy now because Densha Boy will be in Singapore tomorrow! That poor boy… sprained his ankle yesterday while he went out to feed the birds! And today, at the airport, his nose bled! He must be too excited! hahaha!

oh yes, i’m bringing Densha Boy out on a date!! hehe! Booked tickets to the Hossan Leong’s “Psycho” stand up comedy (9th feb) ! I was so glad they added some extra shows because we couldn’t make it at first! Really looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to my trip to Guangzhou and Hong Kong too! 😀

Spent a bomb yesterday out shopping with my girlfriends! I have forgotten how fun it is shopping with them and also how bad it is for my pocket! Spent a total of $205 on clothes! (2 dresses, a top and a bottom… that’s not too bad if i convert it to £! and also I’ve not been shopping much in England!!) I wish I have more girlfriends in England to do stuff with! 😦

Oh, We had a great time at Togi, the korean restuarant at Katong too. The food was soooo good and it was very affordable too considering the amount of food we ordered! I’m so proud that we finished all the food that we have ordered! haha! Everytime we asked for the menu or asked them to top up the kim chi, the waitress almost fainted. hehe. We spent about £8 per person (SGD24)! The last time I was at the korean restuarant in London, i spent £24!

Bought some kim chi back home too for my sister and Grandma 101 loves it. I can’t wait to have the kim chi this afternoon and watch the korean drama my girlfriend has kindly offered to lend me. hehehe

Feeling very moody today. I think it’s PMS… I think my period is coming soon .. hmmm. I am also a bit annoyed with my mum…and now i feel bad for being annoyed with her and i am now annoyed with myself for being annoyed with her… aiyah.. very complicated…

Anyway…

Talking about periods, i am never good at keeping track when my period is due hehe. I always forget to mark it on the calendar! Now i use The Cycles Page because it’s just so easy to go online and click and let it do the calculation (average cycle length hehe). Try it! It also shows you when your period is due in the next 6 months, your history, fertile and ovulation days!

When I was young(er), my mum forced me to have the cod liver oil. I hated it and have never had it since…

Today, I saw a bottle of it on the table and decided to have it since it’s supposed to be good for you!! And I want to be healthy and strong! Not like now! Coughing up phlegm every few minutes! Grrr! (at least the phlegm is now yellow colour! hehe)

Anyway, this time, I love Cod Liver Oil! It’s not as bad as it was used to be! (I drank the original flavour ok.. not the orange one for wussies hahaha) I’m going to have it every day.. just 2 teaspoonful will do! I don’t want to have an overdose of vitamin D!

Go on, try Cod Liver Oil today! It’s good for you, it is a good source of omega 3-fatty acid and “it has also been clinically proven to have a positive effect on heart, bone and brain health, as well as helping to nourish skin, hair and nails“. 😀

Choo choo train
Tuckin’ down the track
Gotta travel on it
Never comin’ back
Ooh, ooh got a one way ticket to the blues

Oh, oh got a one way ticket to the blues

~ Boney M

Hehe. Got my one way ticket to London the other day. Not that I’m not ever coming back to Singapore again! But because I can’t get a return ticket at a reasonable price!!

There’s a really good offer by Qantas and BA now! $998 (excl tax) for a ONE year return ticket to London! But of course, cheap tickets always have some restrictions! But i didn’t know it was sooooo restrictive!! Called up BA before I booked and the lady told me I can book it even though I can’t select my return date yet (currently can only select up to Dec) and I can call them and give them my booking reference no. and they would put a note in the system to say I can have one free change.

So i went ahead and booked and called BA again but this time another lady answered the phone and insisted that I have to confirm my return date and she can put it in the system for me. But … it’s a one year ticket! I am not sure when I am coming back again! And i did that previously too with my other cheap one year ticket and i had no problems!!! grrrr So anyway, i explained to her that I could do it with my previous ticket and she can check if she wants to but she said now they can’t do it and I have to confirm my return flight by the 15th of March! WTF! How to? How can? Cos I don’t know when I am returning!!  Anyway, the lady was quite nice and asked if i want to cancel my booking and they wouldn’t charge me this time.. which was quite nice of them.. but I wasn’t sure and I told them, ok how about i call back on the 15th to confirm then? Maybe i could plan my holidays in advance… and then the lady said “Sure, but remember your return date must be in Feb 08!” …. ARGH! WTF!  What’s the point then? I asked. She said, “Yes mam, the ticket you got is very restrictive”. “So if i have an emergency and I need to travel, i cannot lah?”. “No mam, unless you want to pay $150 + $50 service fee plus the upgrade if there’s no cheaper seats”.

GRRRR

So they win lor! I got them to cancel it for me in the end without any charge and I got myself a one way ticket @ $771 (incl tax)…. The one year return ticket would cost me $1384 (incl tax). That’s not too bad then…and it will save me from all these aggravation..

Hopefully the next time I come back to Singapore, there will be some good promotion for SQ. I like to travel on SQ cos of the On demand in flight entertainment hehehehe. (SQ’s one way ticket to London is $1.3k! Siao ah!)

Actually, i’m quite looking forward to my flight back to London cos Qantas will be showing Borat! hahaha I don’t mind watching it again.

I’ve got the lurgie! Grrr I’ve been to the doc’s yesterday and now i seem to be feeling worse. I now have green phlegm and green snot! I don’t think I’ve been this sick when I was in England!

I hope i’ll feel better tomorrow cos I am going for a cooking class!! Till then, it’s going to be lots of rest, naps, fluids and medicines…  😦

Saw this on the chinese newspaper today on the NKF/TT Durai’s case..

It says The lawyer said that TT Durai is a “不诚实的骗子” , meaning, A dishonest cheater/liar.

Well, no shit, sherlock!  Don’t tell me there’s an honest liar/cheater? duh.

1. You feel irritated when you hear that male journalist on CNA speaking in an American accent
2. You say “Cheers!” to the hawker instead of “Thank you” or “Xie Xie”
3. You think that you can’t get any mobile phone reception when you’re in the MRT. (You can’t get any reception in the London Underground!)
4. You weren’t sure if you need to scan your EZLINK card before you alight the bus (You only scan your oyster card once when you board the bus in London)
5. You feel weird when people are standing really close to you! (I was waiting for my bak chor mee (I forgot to say i dun want tur kwa! but anyway..) and this lady was standing really close to me. When i moved away, she moved closer, she thought i was Queuing i think..but when i move away she followed me again!)
6. You keep wanting to press the “record” or “i” button on the remote control like what you’d do with SKY TV!
