Today’s my last day at work!
Yahoo! I’m so happy! But not as happy as the last time!
I’ll be having a week off before i start my new job! A job that’s starts from 9 to 5! A job with lots of training and development opportunities! A job that is very exciting (well at least i think it is exciting.. for now!)
Ah.. what should i do tomorrow then? Lots of Wii-ing (hmm it actually sounds bad.. sounds like weeing haha)? Lots of DS lite-ing? Lots of ebay-ing? Online shopping? Oh yes, i have to catch up on all the shows i’ve recorded! Our sky box is getting full!
Hmm i have to remember to practice walking on my 4 inch heels too! Yes, that’s right! 4 inch heels! 10cm! It’s my wedding shoes! I think i should be able to walk down the aisle without hurting my feet?? The first time i wore it, the balls of my feet was really painful… I wonder how ppl can walk on those!! … But after sticking scholl’s party feet on it.. it seems alright. I can walk pretty well on it now! I think i can now do the catwalk on my 4 inch heels.. hmm. hehe I so love my 4 inch heels! Doubt i’d wear it to go shopping though!

Went to the market this morning to look at some flowers for the wedding. I just want a small posy of flowers. Think it might be some white roses or just some peonies. Hmmm. The florist said it’s better that we have a consultation with her so we’ll be seeing her again next week to decide what we want.
Apparently, choosing flowers for a wedding is not just going to the shop and say, “Ok, i want that one, how much will that be?” It’s not that simple. It’s to go to the shop, tell the lady what you would like, look at some designs, decide on them and pay.. well the florist will also have to check that there is enough time for the flower to grow and bloom before the wedding! So anyway, there is still some time for us.
Also wanted to get a fly swatter at the market…. no it’s not for the wedding! But i just had to get it cos summer is coming and the flies are coming too! Well some are already here! This morning, an annoying fly flew into our room and couldn’t get out.. so it was flying around aimlessly, not knowing where to go! It was quite annoying! It flew around.. taunting me with it’s stupid buzz! GRRRR.. so anyway, i wanted to get a fly swatter and guess what? It’s sold out!! Fly swatters get sold out?! Just last week i saw like 20 of them at the shop and now it’s sold out!! What the?
Ok anyway, back to the wedding..
So far, we’ve got:
1. the dress
2. the choker
3. the suit for him (it’s an edwardian suit!)
4. appointment with the florist
5. marriage authority. Got it this morning. Will have to bring it to the registrar, if not we can’t get married!!!
Now all there is left to do .. is to decide on the flowers.. and get a pair of wedding shoes.
Oh yes, meeting the makeup lady this coming thursday too.
So i guess.. everything is going alright so far… 🙂 I don’t think i’ve missed out anything?
Today we had a meeting on what we should do for the project which is due on Friday.
After the meeting, boss asked “So what do you want to give me today?”
I was tempted to tell him, “I’d like to give you the finger!”
But of course… I didn’t. I don’t want to get fired! Especially not 4 days before I’m due to resign!!
That’s the time I have to get everything ready for the wedding!
Yeah, it’s kinda rush I know…. and no lah, I’m not pregnant! What were you all thinking!
We’re going to have a small wedding (ie. no friends or relatives from SG will attend! BOO HOO HOO!) so I guess it’s not going to be a nightmare putting everything together!
Anyway, we got:
1. Rings from ebay (they are new, not used hor). Anyway.. we got a pair of celtic rings cos he’s celtic. They are lovely i think. And his ring finger is so fat and it’s too big for my thumb! LOL!
2. A wedding dress off ebay. Also new. I hope it fits! It’d better be cos i gave them my measurements! Was gutted the one I saw at Debenhams didn’t have my size!! GRRR
3. Booked the restaurant. We’re going for Indian! Yahoo! Cos am sick of Italian food and the chinese restaurants here suck. We like that Indian place and they know us so we get good price! And it’s going to be all paid for by his mum. YAY.
4. Booked the makeup lady who apparently has won a BAFTA before!
Hmm i guess that just leaves us with:
1. Hire a suit for Husband to be! (HEE HEE). It’d be nice to see him in a Frock Suit!
2. Finalised the wedding stuff with the registrar.
Hold on.. is that all? I’m sure there are some more stuff to do…
Oh yes..
3. We need to find a witness! 2 actually! but that’s not going to be a problem.
Well i think we’re ready.. really.. or are we? hmmm. I don’t think much will change after we get married cos we’ve been living together for quite a while and we got used to each other’s sickening habits (hehe). ..so i guess we’ll be fine! hehe
Spoke to my mum today and told her about my plans too and she said as long as I’ve thought about it and have made my decision, she’s not going to stop me since I’m not young anymore! So i guess she has, as what my future mother-in-law said.. “reconciled with the fact that I am going to marry a big white blob!”
HAHAHAHAHAHA

I forgot about the wedding shoes! I will get them online i guess.. not too keen on going to the bridal boutiques here… don’t like being served by over enthusiastic sale staff…
Yesterday I met a really rude guy…a stupid chao ang moh.
I was on my way to the tube station and walked past this guy and overtook him. I also kept the same walking speed. Then, he decided to speed up and stepped on my feet.. or rather heel since he’s at the back and my shoe nearly came off! I turned around and looked at him. I didn’t gave him the WTF look or any annoyed look, i don’t think, but i just looked at him.. and walked off. He then said to me “Serves you right for walking in front of me!”
Grrrr. That really annoyed me.
So i turned to him and told him “You Bastard!”. I wanted to show him the finger too but I didn’t…cos my hands were full and also because I was scared he might beat me up! But i could have easily kick him in his groin!
Grrrr!
We drove up to Loughborough to visit my fiance’s brother. It’s a nice but windy place. There is a really cool hat shop at the market selling lots of .. well. hats.. and they were awesome. So many different styles. We were tempted to get a deer stalker hat hehe. You know like what Sherlock Holmes wore? We didn’t get it in the end cos it costs 40 quid!
We went home and did nothing much (the weather’s been crappy!) but surf ebay! In the end we bought a Nintendo DS Lite (for me!) and a refurbished laptop for his mum. I am looking forward to receiving my black DS Lite! Should get it on Tuesday! It comes with 7 games! Actually I only wanted to get the brain training game but I have a feeling i might keep all of them cos they are all great games! Oh yeah… my fiance placed the wrong bid. We wanted to bid it for £140.07 for it but he and his fat fingers placed a max bid of £14,007! LOL. The world’s most expensive DS Lite! It was so funny. Luckily, not a lot of people were bidding for this item so we got it at £165! Think i’ll sell the other games get some money back… hmmm
Oh yeah…i’ve noticed quite a few people are searching for comments/review for the Uzap King and the nintendo wii and ended up here. Well, just get them, they’re great!!
People who rest their feet on the seats/table in the train.. or any other forms of public transport! So annoying! I was glad a man sat next to him later.. and told him, “You’re getting really comfortable there!?”
A few nights ago… i had a very odd dream.
I dreamt the PM of Singapore and all the MPs were roasting a duck. Yes.. everyone of them roasting A duck.
They then ate all the duck and left just a duck leg (the drumstick) for my family. Then my mum ate all of it on her own and left the skin for me! Oh and also the bone too!!!!
I got really upset with her and scolded her … it went something like this “How could you finish the whole leg? And just left the skin for me? I came back all the way from the UK and now all I get is some duck skin?!?! ARGH!!”
I don’t really understand what this dream is all about …. hmmmmmm
no lah.. it’s a singaporean! hahaha
So we, Singapoeans, are the fastest walkers in the world!
No wonder…
I’ve been wondering why the Londoners are walking so slow! I’m always wondering to myself, “Why these ang mohs walk so slow? I need to get to work leh!!”.. and then of course i always end up early at work.. cos I walk fast mah… hohoho
